history
The drums with a small drum in the song were created through separate recordings of the drum rhythms. A loudspeaker was placed above the snare drum and a microphone below it.
Released on January 1, 1989, the pop rock song became a number one hit in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Austria and Spain .
In the episode Whoever Laughs Last ... by Columbo you could hear the song.
Music video
Two music videos were released for the song, one produced by Philippe Decouflé and the other by Pedro Romhanyi. In the first, the clip of New Orders True Faith served as a model and also contains elaborate choreographies and actors in costumes. So z. B. as pillows, as Beetlejuice and others also wear the same costumes, just with sunglasses. You can also see two karate fighters ramming their heads. This video received many nominations, including Best Video , at the MTV Video Music Awards in 1989.
