Shealah Craighead is an American photographer. During the presidency of George W. Bush she was the official photographer of First Lady Laura Bush and one of the photographers of Vice President Dick Cheney . In 2008 she was hired for Sarah Palin's election campaign.

In 2017, Craighead was named the Official White House Photographer during Donald Trump's presidency. She is the first woman in this position. Her predecessor under Barack Obama was Pete Souza .

Craighead has photographed for the Boston Globe , Associated Press and Getty Images , among others . In 2008 she was the wedding photographer for George W. Bush's daughter Jenna Bush Hager . She is a motorcyclist and drives a Harley-Davidson . As Pete Souza she uses digital SLR cameras from Canon .
