Shelby Walker
Shelby Walker (born February 27, 1975 in Kingsville , Texas as Shelby Rogers , † September 24, 2006 in Fort Lauderdale , Florida ) was a professional boxer and mixed martial arts fighter, also known as the "Shelby Girl" .
After five years of active service and in the US Army Reserve , Walker began her career as an MMA fighter. Out of her 6 MMA fights, she won three fights, but also lost three. Shelby scored the fastest knockout win in MMA history with a five-second bout against Angela Wilson in Boston , Massachusetts .
In 2002 Walker became a professional boxer. In her boxing career, she completed 14 fights. She won seven (including six by knockout), lost six and reached a draw.
Walker was found dead on September 24, 2006, apparently from an overdose of pain medication.
