Shell Kepler

Shell Kepler (born October 5, 1958 in Painesville , Lake County , Ohio , † February 1, 2008 in Portland , Oregon ) was an American singer and actress .

Life

Career

Shell Kepler wanted to become an actress at the age of two after seeing the film The Wizard of Oz ; at the age of nine she stood on a theater stage for the first time.

After she finished high school, she moved to Los Angeles with her family . She played her first role as a guest star on the television series CHiPs . But she only became known a year later, in 1979, when she joined the Soap General Hospital . There she played the role of the nurse Amy Vining until 2002 .

In the early 1980s she sang in the band Shell & The Crush.

Private

After her acting career, Kepler worked for charity.

Her mother died when she was 14 years old. Shell Kepler had a brother named Fred who was a guitarist and lead singer in a rock band.

Shell Kepler was married to Kenny Ryback from 1985 to 1991 and to Robert DeSantis from 1992 to 2000.

She died of kidney failure at the age of 49 .
