Shepherd's Bush (sometimes spelled Shepherds Bush ) is a borough of London . It belongs to the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and is about eight kilometers west of Charing Cross . In the north the district borders on Willesden and Harlesden , in the east on Holland Park , in the south on Hammersmith and in the west on Acton and Chiswick .

The center of the district is Shepherd's Bush Green, a three-acre triangular park that is surrounded on three sides by main roads. Four other main roads branch off on its west side and three on its east side. To the east, the district is bounded by the West London Line and a motorway slip road. Shepherd's Bush is served by three London Underground stations : Shepherd's Bush station on the Central Line on the east side of the park and Shepherd's Bush Market and Goldhawk Road stations west of the park, where the Circle Line and Hammersmith & City Line operate; Added to this is Shepherd's Bush station on the West London Line.

The Westfield London shopping center is of paramount economic importance . In the northwestern part of Shepherd's Bush is the stadium of the football club Queens Park Rangers on Loftus Road .
