Sheriff Abba Sanyang

Sheriff Abba Sanyang , also spelled Sherrif Abba , is a Gambian politician and administrative officer. He has been Governor of the Gambian Central River Region (CRR) since March 2019 .

Sheriff Abba Sanyang stood in the 2007 parliamentary election as a candidate for the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) in the constituency of Foni Kansala in the Brikama Administrative Area . Since there was no opposing candidate from the opposition, he was able to win the constituency for himself. Sanyang was a representative at the Inter-Parliamentary Union during this legislative period . He did not run for the 2012 parliamentary elections . From June 2014 he was (in gambian-Senegalese Permanent Secretariat as Deputy Executive Secretary English Deputy Secretary Ececutive ) operates.

On March 1, 2019, Sanyang was appointed governor of the Central River Region by the Adama Barrow government, replacing Sulayman Barry .
