The Sherrell Point is a headland at the southern end of the Astrolabe Island off the north coast of Trinity Peninsula at the northern end of the Antarctic Peninsula .
Aerial photographs and measurements of the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition from 1955 to 1956 were used to map them. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1962 after the geodesist and geologist Frederick William Sherrell (1932-2001), who was involved in the expedition.
