Shigeki Kurata ( Japanese 藏 田 茂樹 , Kurata Shigeki ; born June 22, 1972 in Kyoto Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Kurata learned to play soccer on the school team at Yamashiro High School and the university team at Juntendo University . He signed his first contract with Cerezo Osaka in 1995 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2001 he reached the final of the Imperial Cup . For the club he completed 141 first division games. In 2002 he moved to the second division Avispa Fukuoka . For the club he completed 86 games. At the end of 2004 he ended his career as a soccer player.
