Coordinates: 29 ° 12 ′ S , 116 ° 0 ′ E The Shire of Morawa is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 3,516 km² and has about 750 inhabitants (2016).
Morawa is located in the west of the state about 300 kilometers north of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the village of Morawa , where about 500 inhabitants live (2016).

The Morawa Council has seven members. They are elected by all residents of the LGA. Morawa is not divided into districts. The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
