Short Range Certificate

The Short Range Certificate (SRC) is an internationally valid radio operating certificate . It entitles the holder to participate in the mobile marine radio service on VHF on pleasure boats and on ships that are not subject to radio equipment requirements. It includes the operation of marine radio stations on VHF and security radio systems ( GMDSS ), but not the operation of ship radio stations ( inland radio ).

The certificate complies with Article 47 of the Radio Regulations .
