Shripad Yesso Naik ( Marathi श्रीपाद येस्सो नाईक Śrīpād Yesso Nāīk ; born October 4, 1952 in Adpai , Goa ) is an Indian politician.

Life

Naik is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Minister of State with his own area of ​​responsibility in the Modi I cabinet . He is also known as the yoga minister . Naik began his political activities in his home state Goa and then switched to federal politics. In 2003 he became Minister of State for Agriculture in the Vajpayee III cabinet and held various government offices in the following years, including a. as Minister of State with his own area of ​​responsibility for culture and tourism.
