With a length of over 257 km, Shuanghedong (双河 洞) is the longest cave system in China and the fifth longest cave in the world.

It is located near Wenquan City, Suiyang County, Guizhou Province .

Since the discovery of the gypsum and dolomite cave in 1987, it has been explored by international research teams. In addition to numerous fossils, cave animals such as troglobionte insects, fish and salamanders were discovered.

So far 203 entrances are known for this cave system.
