Sichuan-Tibet Highway
The Sichuan-Tibet highway ( Chinese 川藏 公路 , Pinyin Chuan-Zang gonglu ) or the Sichuan-Tibet Highway is a 2,413-kilometer road from Chengdu to Lhasa . It connects Tibet and the Southwest China Provinces and is part of National Road 318 (from Shanghai to Tibet). It was opened to traffic at the end of 1954.
