The Sichuan Longquanyi ( Chinese 成都 龙泉驿 足球场 ) is a multifunctional stadium in Chengdu , Sichuan , China and is currently mostly used for soccer games. Construction of the stadium began in 2003 and was completed on June 26, 2004, in time for the 2004 Asian Football Championship . At that time the capacity was 30,400 places.
The capacity was later increased to 42,000 places. The Chengdu Blades sometimes play their home games in the stadium when their actual home stadium, the Chengdu Sports Center Stadium , is home to another event.
