The Side Crater ( English for side crater ) is a 3700 m high and almost circular volcanic crater on the Antarctic Ross Island . It rises in the southwestern edge of the main crater of Mount Erebus and thus, as its name suggests, on the side of the summit crater.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2000.
