Sidmount Cottage

Sidmount Cottage is a villa in the Scottish village of Moffat in the Council Area Dumfries and Galloway . In 1981 the structure was included in the Scottish monument lists in the highest monument category A.

description

The villa is located on Sidmount Avenue in northeast Moffat. The west-facing front of the one-story building is symmetrical and is three axes wide. A badge shows the year of construction 1836 and the initials MB. The entrance area, finished with cornices and designed with pilasters , emerges. The flanking triple windows are lattice windows with bevelled bevels . A cornice runs below the concluding hipped roof . Another triplet window is installed on the right on the south side. Set back is a veranda with cast iron applications.
