Life notes
Sidney Davis started his career as a comedian and sketch writer for radio broadcasts. He achieved greater fame for his collaboration on the Oscar-nominated short film parody De Düva , for which he wrote the screenplay and appeared as a producer together with directors George Coe and Anthony Lover . He also played the role of death in the film under the name Sid Davis. In the comedy film, the thoughts of a professor who is on his way to a seminar go back in time when he is confronted with a pigeon. The film parodies some works by the Swedish director Ingmar Bergman , such as the dramas Wild Strawberries, where a professor struggles with daydreams and memories while driving a car, and The Seventh Seal , in which a knight obtains a respite from death.
