Cornelia Röper

Cornelia Röper (born September 11, 1990 in Geseke ) is a German social entrepreneur . She gained international fame through the founding of Wefugees , an online community for refugees, for which she was added to Forbes ' "30 under 30" list and personally recognized by Bill Gates .

life and career

Cornelia Röper moved with her parents to Dirmstein in Rhineland-Palatinate at the age of eight . In 2010 she began studying business management with a focus on entrepreneurship and marketing at the University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde , which she graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2015 .

After positions at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( IHK ) Rhein Neckar in 2010 and Jungheinricht UK in 2013, Röper was employed at Enabee GmbH as Key Account Manager in 2014 , where she was responsible for project management and the launch of online communities as well as international customer service was responsible. In 2018 she was the first German to receive the first Global Goals Changemaker Award from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for her commitment to refugees . In the same year Röper was listed as one of the " Forbes 30 Under 30 in Europe".
