The seven-meter pond (also seven meter pond or 7 meters pond written) is an approximately 60,000-square-foot quarry pond in the district of Döhren the Lower Saxon state capital Hanover . It was created through gravel mining in the first half of the 20th century, which, as with the adjacent gravel ponds, was followed by the conversion of the water-filled gravel pits into a natural recreational landscape. It got its name because it is said to be exactly seven meters deep, which is not true. Its maximum depth is only 4.5 meters.

Although not located in the Ricklingen district, it is included in the group of Ricklinger Kiesteiche in the floodplain of the Leine .

The lake is located immediately south of the Südschnellweg between the Ricklinger pond in the west and the Leine in the east. It has an almost quadrangular shape with four sides. On the side facing the Südschnellweg there is a larger lawn for sunbathing and a footbridge with ladders for bathers. There is another lawn for sunbathing on the side facing the leash. On the south side there is a headland built with allotment gardens, to which the much larger Großer Döhrener pond connects. All four sides of the river are also covered by a relatively dense population of trees.

The seven-meter pond is approved as a bathing lake and the bathing water quality is monitored. The pond is signposted as a nudist bathing area, nude bathing is expressly desired. Because it is easy to get into and is allowed to swim naked, the lake is also popular with winter and year-round swimmers, who use it all year round at any temperature.

The lake is also used by the Hanover fishing association as angling waters.
