Höhenblick settlement
The settlement Höhenblick is under monument protection standing settlement in Frankfurt . It was built from 1926 to 1927 in Frankfurt-Ginnheim in the style of the New Frankfurt .
The Höhenblick housing estate was built by the AG for small apartments on the Ginnheimer Hang, a slope on the western edge of the district facing the valley of the river Nidda to the west , according to plans by the Frankfurt City Commissioner Ernst May . The development is evenly distributed over the moderately steep slope. It consists of around 100 three-storey single-family houses in brick construction, with a flat roof and accentuated end structures. The architects were Ernst May and Carl-Hermann Rudloff , the horticultural design with roof terraces and garden parcels was the responsibility of the Frankfurt horticultural director Max Bromme . The settlement comprises the houses along the streets Fuchshohl (house numbers 31–57, 32–52 and 61–73), Kurhessenstrasse (123–134) and Höhenblick (2–50, 3–37); to the west it is limited by the street Niddablick . It is a cultural monument for historical and urban planning reasons according to the monument protection law of the state of Hesse .
The actual settlement is preceded by a two-story row of semi-detached houses. A legal dispute arose in 2008 about a new building in this row, which was ultimately decided by the Hessian Administrative Court (VGH). After the planned demolition of one of these houses and plans for a new building in its place became known and a dispute between the neighbors had developed over it, the monument protection authority decided to also place these peripheral buildings under monument protection. Nevertheless, the city of Frankfurt granted the demolition permit. The VGH decided that only the monument protection authority and not the neighbors were entitled to sue and dismissed the suit against the demolition.
