Siegfried Brockmann

Siegfried Brockmann (born January 8, 1959 in Marl , Westphalia ) has been Head of Accident Research for Insurers (UDV) in the Association of the German Insurance Industry (GDV) since 2006 . There he established an interdisciplinary and cross-mode approach for road safety research.

Life

After graduating from high school, Siegfried Brockmann learned the profession of motor vehicle mechanic. He then studied political science at the Free University in Berlin. Since 1986 he has worked in various functions, including for the Senate Chancellery and the Senator for Transport of the State of Berlin. From 1993 to 1997 he was in charge of the ministerial office and communications of the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the State of Brandenburg. In 1998, Siegfried Brockmann took over communication for the property and casualty insurance division of the German Insurance Association (GDV). Since 2006 he has been Head of Accident Research for Insurers (UDV).

He is honorary chairman of the scientific advisory board and advisory board member of Deutsche Verkehrswacht eV (DVR) , board member of the German Road Safety Council (DVR) and member of the board of trustees of the German Seniorenliga eV (DSL) . As chairman of the “Environment and Transport” forum , Brockmann is involved in the CDU Berlin .
