Siegfried Powolny (born September 20, 1915 in Linz ; † (fallen) July 19, 1944 in Kabariwzi , Sboriw Rajon , Ternopil Oblast ) was an Austrian field handball player who received the silver medal with his teammates at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin .
Powolny was the youngest player on his team at the age of 20, compared to the oldest Fritz Wurmböck (33), and played in two games. In the final round, Austria defeated Switzerland (11: 6) and Hungary (11: 7), but lost 6:10 in the decisive gold medal game against Germany.
