Siegfried Rauhut

Siegfried Rauhut (born December 23, 1938 in Potsdam ) is a former German enduro athlete .

Athletic career

Siegfried Rauhut began his motorsport career in 1956 during his apprenticeship as a car mechanic. At MC Potsdam he drove a 125 RT . In 1961 he went - together with Lothar Schünemann  - to MC Dynamo Erfurt. At first he drove there on the MZ 175, but switched to the 50 cm³ Simson in 1962.

In 1964 he won the International Silver Vase with the Simson Quartet at the International Six Day Trip in Erfurt . At the same time he managed to be the single driver with the best points of all participants. A year later he was again a member of the GDR silver vase team B. At the 40th International Six-Day Tour on the Isle of Man , he was one of 18 gold medal winners.

In 1964 and 1965 Siegfried was GDR champion twice in a row in the class up to 50 cm³.

After the 1965 season, MC Dynamo Potsdam took over as technical director and managed it until 1990.
