List of GDR champions in enduro sport

In the German Democratic Republic , the best in enduro sports were determined from 1952 . In 1952 it was a determination of the best in the so-called performance test sport. From 1953 the best was called the GDR champion. The name of the sport changed from off-road sport to enduro sport from the beginning of the 1980s.

The drivers were provided by the sports clubs, the army sports clubs , the GST and the two-wheeled factories Simson Suhl and MZ .

In order to even out the differences in performance between club athletes and works drivers, no works drivers were rated for the GDR championship between 1960 and 1967. Since differences in technology, athletic fitness and training persisted after that, two special classes ("special technology") were advertised for the works drivers from 1977.
