Location of the comarca Sierra Sur in Andalusia

The Sierra Sur is one of the 10 comarcas in the Spanish province of Jaén . Like all comarcas of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia , it was established with effect from March 28, 2003.

The comarca Sierra Sur is located in the southwest of the province and comprises 5 municipalities with 43,942 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013), about half of which are in the municipality of Alcalá la Real.
