The Siferlinger Lake is a six hectare large Moorsee within the community Söchtenau in the Upper Bavarian Chiemgau , about ten kilometers northeast of Rosenheim .

Trivia

At the end of August 2016, several passers-by reported the sighting of an approximately 1.50 meter long strangler snake at the lake . This prompted the community of Söchtenau to issue a bathing ban. On September 3rd a yellow anaconda was caught by two snake lovers and brought to a reptile sanctuary in Munich.
