Sigmund Heinrich zu Buchenbach (born September 11, 1685 ; † September 13, 1760 ) was an officer in the Swabian district and most recently major general .

origin

Sigmund Heinrich zu Buchenbach was the younger son of Wolf Christof von Stetten and Maria Sophia and came from the Buchenbach line of the noble family.

Life

Sigmund Heinrich built the manorial house in 1715. In that year he was also Oberkammerjunker Baden-Durlach and grenadier captain of the Badendurlach infantry regiment of the Swabian district . Soon afterwards he married Maria Catharina zu Kocherstetten (1702–1765). In the following three decades, Buchenbach rose within the Swabian district to major general. In 1762 he asked to retire from military service and retired. The grave monuments of Sigmund Heinrich and his wife are in the church of Buchenbach.

Honors

With the support of Prince Karl August of Baden , he applied for the House Order of Loyalty . In the name of the order master he finally received the order cross from the regent in the presence of some knights of the order in Karlsruhe.
