Sigríður Ingibjörg Ingadóttir (German transcription Sigridur Ingibjörg Ingadottir , born May 29, 1968 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician ( Allianz ).

Sigríður Ingibjörg holds a BA in History from the University of Iceland (1992) and a Masters in Business Administration and Economics from Uppsala University (2002). She worked for the Icelandic Statistical Office ( Hagstofa Íslands ) and the Icelandic trade union federation ASÍ . From 2007 to 2008 she was a member of the board of the Icelandic Central Bank .

From 2009 to 2016 she was a member of the Icelandic parliament Althing for the constituency of Reykjavík-South . From 2011 to 2013 she was deputy parliamentary group leader of Allianz. She has been a member of rotating parliamentary committees, and has been chairwoman of the Committee on Welfare since 2012. From 2009 to 2011 and from 2012 to 2013 she was a member of the Icelandic delegation to the Nordic Council .

At the annual meeting of Allianz 2015, she surprisingly ran against the then incumbent Árni Páll Árnason for the office of party chairman, but lost the vote by a narrow margin (241: 240 votes). As a result, she declared her support for Árni Páll.

For the early parliamentary election on October 29, 2016 , Sigríður Ingibjörg Ingadóttir ran as Allianz's top candidate in the North Reykjavík constituency, in which Allianz was unable to win any more seats.
