Sigrid-Maria Grossing

Sigrid-Maria Großering (born June 5, 1939 in Sulzbach-Rosenberg , Bavaria ) is a historian, author and Germanist.

After graduating from high school , Großesing studied history, geography and German in Vienna. Then she devoted herself to teaching at various high schools in Austria and Bavaria. After completing a doctoral degree in history in Salzburg , she started her dissertation in 1993 on the subject: The Pharmacopoeia of the Philippine Welser . A critical examination of the Ambras manuscript on Dr. phil is doing his doctorate. She published several books on the House of Habsburg , but cookbooks such as pancakes are not ham and cheerful zodiac cookbooks. The success of her books, which have been translated into many other languages, eventually led her to devote herself entirely to writing. She has been working as a freelance writer since 1986.

Großing has been married to the sports scientist Stefan Großing ( Helmuth Großing's brother ) since 1961 , has a son and a daughter and lives in Großgmain near Salzburg.
