Willi Heineking (born February 6, 1933 in Landesbergen ; † August 22, 2008 in Hanover ) was a German entrepreneur and politician ( CDU ).

Training and first occupation

After completing secondary school in 1950, Heineking completed an apprenticeship in the trade, which he graduated with honors in 1953.

He then worked for the company that was co-founded by his parents Wilhelm and Wilhelmine Heineking. The object of this company was the food retail trade , whereby the goods were sold immediately after the company was founded in 1929 by means of a horse-drawn sales cart.

Entrepreneurial activity

On the basis of this company, Heineking built - initially together with his brother Heinz Heineking - the forwarding and trading company, which now operates under the name Heineking Logistik & Handels GmbH and is Landesbergen's largest employer. As managing director, he developed the initially small haulage company into an internationally active freight forwarding company and at the same time built up a carpet trading business.

He was particularly committed to the use of biodiesel as an alternative to conventional diesel fuel . In 1990 he expanded his company's vehicle fleet to include a truck powered exclusively with 100 percent rapeseed oil methyl ester (MAN-Büssing type 19360, 360 hp). Exactly this vehicle was the first biodiesel truck in Europe. On March 17, 1997, it had covered exactly 1,111,111 kilometers. This fact (Europe's first biodiesel truck plus said mileage) was recorded in the 1998 Guinness Book of Records .

On March 26, 1999, the truck had driven 1,333,333 kilometers; on March 28, 2001 to 1,680,000 kilometers. The Guinness book editors Heineking issued another record certificate for each of the two events (but no new entries were made).

He also operated other parts of his extensive vehicle fleet with biodiesel.

Political activity

In 1970, Heineking was a co-founder of the Landesbergen CDU local association.

He was a co-founder of the CDU youth and sport working group in the Nienburg district and chairman of this working group from its founding until 2001.

He was also chairman for 25 years and, since November 9, 1995, a co-opted member of the CDU medium-sized and business association of the Nienburg district.

He was also a councilor in the Landesbergen municipality from 1968 to 2008 - as mayor from 1972 to 2008 . Many projects were initiated and implemented during his tenure. For example, in 1973 the introduction of the retrospective view of the Landesbergen clubs, in which they can present their work and record their club history. 1974 the introduction of the New Year's reception, which is now an established event in public life in the Nienburg district. For this, Heineking was able to win many prominent key speakers, such as the President of the German Bundestag Dr. Rita Süssmuth , the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony Dr. Ernst Albrecht , whose wife Dr. Heidi-Adele Albrecht, the Ministers of Lower Saxony Wilfried Hasselmann , Horst Horrmann , Uwe Schünemann , the Presidents of the Lower Saxony State Parliament Dr. Rolf Wernstedt and Jürgen Gansäuer , the State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Consumer Protection and Regional Development Friedrich-Otto Ripke and many others. 1999 the introduction of the Landesberger New Year's meeting on January 1st on the Mühlenplatz. He also achieved that the trade tax payments of the former PreussenElektra flow back into the local communities, that the Preag location in Landesbergen was retained through the construction of a biomass power plant and 50,000 euros were invested in the Landesberger association work. Furthermore, the approval of village renewal funds, which flowed into the expansion of the street Hinter den Höfen as well as the Mühlenplatz and the Mühlengasthof. He was the initiator of the partnership with the former border municipality of Parsau, which has been intact for 30 years . He also set up a doctor, later a second doctor, a dentist and a pharmacy. For years he campaigned for the construction of the cycle path, which was completed in November 2008, at the level crossing on Bahnhofstrasse. He also tried to establish a bypass (which, however, has not yet been implemented). After leaving the office of mayor on June 2, 2008, he was appointed honorary mayor of the Landesbergen community.

From 1974 to 2001 he was a member of the district council of the Nienburg district - there from 1976 to 1988 chairman of the youth welfare committee and from 1988 to 2001 chairman of the sports committee.

He was also a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from 1986 to 2003 . In the state elections in 1986 he was elected to the state parliament for the first time as a direct candidate in his constituency and was confirmed in office in the state elections in 1990, 1994 and 1998. During the 11th legislative period (1986–1990) he worked in the committee for legal and constitutional issues, in the committee for youth and sport and in the working group on agriculture. In the 12th (1990–1994) and 13th (1994–1998) legislative period he was a member of the Youth and Sport Committee and the Economic and Transport Committee, of which he was deputy chairman in the 14th legislative period (1998–2003).
