Sigrid Semper

Sigrid Semper , née Habedank (born December 22, 1940 in Loburg ) is a German politician of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and a former member of the German Bundestag .

Life

Sigrid Semper attended home high school in Wendgräben and passed her Abitur there. She studied at the University of Education in Halle and graduated as a graduate teacher for mathematics and physics. She later did a PhD. ped. and taught at the "Clara Zetkin" college of education in Leipzig.

After four years as a member of the Bundestag, she was unable to go back to her old employer. The Pedagogical University in Leipzig had been dissolved. She should then get a job at the University of Leipzig .

Sigrid Semper joined the Liberal Democratic Party of Germany (LDPD) in 1965 and was elected to the Leipzig district executive in 1978.

She was a member of the German Bundestag for one electoral term from December 20, 1990 to November 10, 1994 . She was elected via the state list of the Saxon FDP . In Parliament she was a member of the Defense Committee until October 1992 and then the Committee on Women and Youth .

After her departure, she ran for election to the mayor of Leipzig. After the first ballot, in which she received 2.4% of the vote, she withdrew her candidacy.
