The Silbersee near Dransfeld is a small forest lake on the edge of the Dransberg about one kilometer west of Dransfeld in the district of Göttingen in Lower Saxony .

The lake lies in an abandoned basalt quarry. There is a barbecue area by the lake. Midwife toads live in the lake and need dry stone surfaces that warm up in sunny weather. In order to maintain the populations, it is therefore necessary to remove the vegetation cover from the north bank from time to time.
