Silke Albin

Silke Mareike Albin (born July 23, 1969 in Hamburg ) is a German lawyer . From December 9, 2014 to May 30, 2017, she was State Secretary in the Ministry for Migration, Justice and Consumer Protection of the Free State of Thuringia .

Life

Silke Albin studied law at the Universities of Regensburg , Geneva , Munich and the Free University of Berlin . She received her doctorate in 1999 with a thesis on the enforcement control of European environmental law under Rudolf Streinz in Bayreuth and passed the second legal state examination in Berlin in 2000. She then worked in the Berlin Senate Department until 2002, then in the Federal Ministry of Finance until 2006 and until 2014 and again in 2017 in the Federal Ministry of Economics . From December 2014 to the end of May 2017 she was State Secretary in the Thuringian Ministry for Migration, Justice and Consumer Protection . Until Albin took over the management of the science and external relations department of the administration of the German Bundestag on August 1, 2020 , she was Vice President of the Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Management .
