Silvert Award
Silvert Award , actually Kalman H. Silvert Award is an award that has been awarded by the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) since 1983 . It was named in honor of Kalman H. Silvert (1921–1971), the first chairman of the LASA, and is awarded on the occasion of a LASA congress. LASA is currently (2018) affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh .
