Silvia Avallone (2010)

Silvia Avallone (born April 11, 1984 in Biella ) is an Italian poet and writer .

Life

Avallone received her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Bologna . Some of her first poems and short stories appeared in the magazines ClanDestino and Nuovi Argomenti . In 2008 her poetry collection Il libro dei vent'anni was awarded a prize. Other prizes followed, as well as the screenplay for a film about Anna Magnani entitled Un'attrice e le sue donne in 2008 and her first novel Acciaio in 2010 , which sold half a million copies in Italy. Maike Albath was not very happy about the second novel Marina Bellezza .
