Silvia Pistotnig

Silvia Pistotnig (born February 11, 1977 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian author .

Life

Silvia Pistotnig studied journalism and political science at the University of Vienna , graduating in 2001 with a diploma thesis on the subject of media opposition: an examination of the comments in the Kleine Zeitung as a Magistra. Since then she has been working as an editor, since 2000 she has been a member of the Working Group of Women Authors (AGA) and since 2001 of the Podium group of women writers .

In 2010 her debut novel Message from Nobody was published , followed by her second novel Tschulie in autumn 2017 . She also published in various literary magazines such as Podium , Sterz and Macondo . In 2010 she was awarded the Carinthian Prize for Literature , and she has also received three scholarships for literature from the Federal Ministry of Art and Culture.
