The Harmon Bay is about 11 km wide bay on the Walgreen Coast of the West Antarctic Marie Byrd lands . It lies at the northern end of the Bear Peninsula and is bounded by the northeast bank of the Moore Dome , the mouth of the Park Glacier and the northwest end of the Gurnon Peninsula .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them using their own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them after Robert H. Harmon of the United States Coast Guard , an officer on the USCGC Burton Island at Operation Deep Freeze in 1969.
