Simas Ramutis Petrikis

Simas Ramutis Petrikis (born January 23, 1942 in Raseiniai ) is a Lithuanian engineer and politician, professor .

Life

From 1956 to 1960 he studied at Kauno politechnikumas and in 1966 graduated from Kauno politechnikos institutas as a radio engineer. In 1972 he received his doctorate and in 1986 he completed his habilitation. From 1960 he worked at the Kaunas Research Institute , from 1989 he was director of the institute. From 1989 he taught at the Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas and was a professor at the Faculty of Computer Science . From 1996 to 2000 he was a member of the Seimas and from 2000 to 2003 a member of the Vilnius City Council . He is a member of Tėvynės Sąjunga .

He was vice-president of Lietuvos pramonininkų asociacija and in 1996 IHK Kaunas, president of Kauno krašto pramonininkų asociacija, from 1998 to 2002 Lietuvos prekybos pramonės ir amatų rūmų asociacija.
