Simen Berntsen (born July 2, 1976 ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper .

Berntsen jumped in the Continental Cup (COC) from 1994 and already reached 46 points in his first season. In his second season 1995/96 he reached the 5th place in the overall ranking with 612 points. Thereupon he was nominated for the national team and thus for the ski jumping world cup and jumped on February 17th, 1996 his first world cup competition in Iron Mountain . There he was able to win his first World Cup points with the 23rd place on the large hill. In the second competition on the Copper Peak hill he just missed the points with 34th place. In the Continental Cup season 1996/97 he reached the 2nd place in the overall COC ranking with 728 points. In the World Cup, however, it was less successful in the first jumping. So he only reached 49th place in Lillehammer . At the end of the season, however, he was again firmly in the squad and was able to jump on the podium with third place in the team competition on March 8, 1997 together with Håvard Lie , Roar Ljøkelsøy and Lasse Ottesen . It was his only World Cup podium. In the following World Cup competitions until the end of the season he always reached the points and ended the season in 48th place in the overall World Cup ranking. He then jumped two more years in the Continental Cup, but was unable to achieve any successes and ended his active ski jumping career in 1999.
