Ana Simina Grigoriu , married Kalkbrenner , (born May 8, 1981 in Bucharest , Romania ) is a DJ and music producer from Toronto who has lived in Berlin since 2008 and produces electronic techno music.

Grigoriu was born in Romania. Under the Ceaușescu regime, her parents fled to Toronto, Canada when she was three years old. After their parents separated, the father returned to his home country in 1989, while her mother stayed with the children in Canada.

She started rapping while at Earl Haig Secondary School in Toronto, but soon discovered her love for electronic music. During her high school years until 2000, she also attended the private School of Liberal Arts (SOLA). She then studied printing technology and marketing as well as entrepreneurship and innovation at Ryerson University until 2004 .

After meeting the musician Paul Kalkbrenner in Toronto on his promotion tour for his film Berlin Calling , she moved to Berlin in summer 2008, where she played in numerous clubs and at several events. She also expanded her production knowledge here at his side. In 2010 she appeared in the opening act of Kalkbrenner's Berlin Calling concert tour . On August 24, 2012, she released her self-produced debut album Exit City . Grigoriu has been married to Paul Kalkbrenner since August 25, 2012. They married in camera at Herzfelde Castle in the Uckermark. Their daughter Isabella Amelie was born on April 20, 2015.
