Herzfelde is a district of the city of Templin , the largest city in terms of area in the Uckermark district (Brandenburg). Herzfelde was an independent municipality until 2003.

location

Herzfelde is 11 kilometers northeast of the core town of Templin. Annenhof and Kienheide also belong to the place . The Steinhausen , Uhlenhof and Wiedebusch estates , which were only demolished after 1960, were located in the district.

history

In 1375 the village was first mentioned under the name "Hertzvelde". The name is derived from the Middle Low German "hert" (deer) and Veld (field). In 1375 it was owned by the Berliners. The Trebowsee belonged to Boitzenburg Castle. Before 1429 the village came into the possession of the Seehausen monastery, the services had gone to the Boitzenburg rule. In 1429, Herzfelde became the property of von Berg , who held the village until 1828. In the course of history there were up to four knight seats in the village. From 1828 to 1830 Herzfelde belonged to a forester Beyer. From 1830 to 1852 the reindeer Hoth owned Herzfelde. In 1858 Herzfelde belonged to a certain Lindenberg.

On October 26, 2003, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the Templin-Land office after Templin.

The district of Annenhof was first mentioned in 1899 in the official journal of the Potsdam government.

Attractions

Herzfelde Castle

Herzfelde offers a number of sights: A stone church, the former manor complex with storage, gardening and sheepfold. There is a castle with a 20 hectare park in this place. It was inhabited in the 13th century by the noble Herzfelde family.
