history

The estate was built around / before 1858 by a landowner named Helm. It is formed from the female first name Dorette. In the official gazette of 1860 the farm was officially named as Dorettenhof . In the local statistics of the government district of Potsdam with the city of Berlin from 1861, population figures for the Dorettenhof are already given, which, according to the declaration at the beginning of the work, were recorded in December 1858. Accordingly, the Dorettenhof should have been built before 1858. The estate consisted of the house and three farm buildings. At the end of 1858 it had 7 residents. The animal population was 4 horses, 10 cattle and 90 sheep. In 1873 eight people lived in the Dorettenhof.

In 1914 the Dorettenhof was owned by First Lieutenant Hans Jarke. At that time the estate had a total area of 147 hectares , 101 hectares of which were arable, 16 hectares of meadows and 30 hectares of forest. The animal population amounted to 11 horses, 61 head of cattle, of which 47 were dairy cows, and 143 pigs. The property tax entry is numbered at 1,329 marks.

In 1921 Hans Jarke had the estate managed by an inspector Stelz. A fruit and asparagus plantation also belonged to the estate. By 1923 Hans Jarke had to downsize the company. The estate only had a total agricultural area of 115 hectares, including 85 hectares of arable land, 7 hectares of meadows and 23 hectares of forest. The number of animals had also decreased significantly: 10 horses, 29 cattle, including 14 cows and 15 pigs. However, the property tax entry was still valued at 1,300 marks.

Until 1929, the now Major a. D. Hans Jarke downsize his business again; he only had an area of 105 hectares, of which 77 hectares were arable, 5 hectares were meadows and 21 hectares were wooded. The number of animals had increased somewhat: 10 horses, 36 cattle, of which 24 were dairy cows and 25 pigs. The property tax net income was set at 1,360 marks.

In 1978 the Dorettenhof belonged to the state-owned Gut Templin and formed the Dorettenhof division.

The Dorettenhof is currently a boarding house run by the Gut für Tiere association .

The Dorettenhof belongs to the city limits of Templin. He never had a special local political position. Today it is classified as a residential area in the city of Templin.

The Dorettenhof was located directly on the former Britz – Fürstenberg railway from Templin to Fürstenberg (Havel). The Templin-Fürstenberg (Havel) section (and thus past the Dorettenhof) was built in the years before 1900. Train operations began on August 16, 1899. Freight traffic between Templin and Fürstenberg was discontinued on December 31, 1994, and passenger traffic on May 19, 1996. The tracks were dismantled. The historical map in the BrandenburgViewer shows the geography around the Dorettenhof before the railway in the second half of the 1890s.
