The parish church of Simon and Judas is in the center of the village of Issigau in Upper Franconia .

The church dates back to a chapel from 1322. The choir of today's Evangelical Lutheran church comes from a new church in the middle of the 15th century, the nave was built in the last third of the 16th century. It is a hall with a retracted choir and roof turrets . With the Reformation the church came to the superintendent of Hof . It was a branch church of Berg until 1632 and was then raised to a parish. A coffered ceiling was installed in the early 18th century. The ceiling consists of 66 pictures with scenes from the Old and New Testament. The equipment comes mainly from Hof artists, the organ from Friedrich Heidenreich . After 1810 the church was assigned to the Naila deanery and its facilities. Until the beginning of the 21st century, the Baron von Reitzenstein had the church patronage over the church.
