Simon Khan (born June 16, 1972 in Chingford , England ) is an English professional golfer on the European Tour .

At the age of twelve he saw Seve Ballesteros win the Open Championship and decided to learn the game of golf with the help of his grandfather. He became a professional golfer in 1991, but it was only after the turn of the millennium that Khan managed to establish himself on the European Tour . In the 2004 season he achieved his first tournament success at the Celtic Manor Wales Open and he reached number 27 in the European Tour Order of Merit . In 2006, Khan took second place in the prestigious BMW PGA Championship , which earned him prize money of 472,220 euros. On May 23, 2010 Khan won this tournament with a 66 round on the final day. For this victory he received 750,000 euros and secured qualification for the European Tour for the next five years.

The sworn Arsenal FC fan has been married to his wife Lesley since 2002 and has one child.
