Simon Kohler
Simon Kohler (born September 26, 1916 in Glovelier , † April 20, 1990 in Pruntrut ) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).
Kohler began his political career in 1943 as a municipal council of the municipality of Courgenay whose mayor he was from 1947 to 1966. From 1946 to 1959 he was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern . Kohler was National Councilor from 1959 to 1975 and its President from 1974/75 . From 1966 to 1978 he was a member of the government of the Bernese Education Directorate . He was also president of the Jurassic FDP and the Swiss University Conference .
