Simon Michel (* 1977 ; resident in Burgdorf and Köniz ) is a Swiss entrepreneur and politician ( FDP ). He has been CEO of Ypsomed Holding since 2014, and a member of the Solothurn Cantonal Council since 2017 .

Professional background

Simon Michel is the son of the entrepreneur Willy Michel . He studied economics at the University of St. Gallen and graduated with a master's degree in media and communication management. From 2003 to 2006 he worked for Orange Communications AG in Zurich and Lausanne .

Ypsomed

Simon Michel has been with the medical technology company Ypsomed since October 2006. In 2008 he became a member of the management team and was responsible for marketing and sales. Since July 2014 he has been CEO of Ypsomed Holding AG and the Ypsomed Group. Company founder and father Willy Michel has been Chairman of the Board since then.

Other mandates

Simon Michel has been a Board Member of Forster Rohner AG since 2016 . Since 2015 he has been on the board of the Solothurn Chamber of Commerce and since 2015 on the umbrella board of the Swiss Medtech Association.

In March 2017, Simon Michel was elected to the Solothurn Cantonal Council as a career changer for the FDP.
