Simon R. Green

Simon R. Green (* 1955 in Bradford-on-Avon , Wiltshire , England ) is an English science fiction and fantasy author .

Simon R. Green graduated from the University of Leicester with degrees in English and American literature and history.

For a few years he only received rejections from various publishers. Then he was able to sell seven novels in 1988, exactly two days after starting at Bilbo's bookstore in Bath . Shortly thereafter, he was commissioned to write a novel based on the script for the Kevin Costner film Robin Hood - King of Thieves , which became a commercial success. Green also works for television on the side, writes plays and appears as an actor in Shakespeare plays.

In Germany, after Robin Hood, King of Thieves (1991), his novels from the Todtsteltzer series were first published in 1997 , while other books were in some cases not translated at all or were only translated much later. His work covers a wide range from science fiction to dark fantasy to the humorous epic à la Terry Pratchett .

The Shaman Bond series (The Secret History)
