Simon Lockhart Webster (born March 8, 1981 in Hartlepool , England ) is a Scottish rugby union player. He plays as the outside three quarters or inside three quarters for Edinburgh and the Scottish national team .

Webster came to Edinburgh in 2002 and was first used in a friendly against the Newcastle Falcons . He had previously played for the Northampton Saints in his home country England . With 26 attempts he holds the club record for attempts in the Magners League .

Webster made his debut for Scotland at the 2003 World Cup against Ireland and also made his first attempt. He was also part of Scotland's squad at the 2007 World Cup and was the only player in the country to appear in all five games. He varied between the positions outside and inside three quarters. His grandparents' Scottish origins allow him to play for Scotland.
