Simone Parodi (born June 16, 1986 in Sanremo ) is an Italian volleyball player .

Career

Parodi started his career in 2005 at Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo . The following season he played for second division club Famigliulo Corigliano before returning to Cuneo in 2007. In 2008, the attacker made his debut in the Italian national team . Then he was under contract with Marmi Lanza Verona for a year before coming to Cuneo for the third time. In 2010 he became Italian champion with the club and also won the CEV Cup . In 2011 he won the national cup competition. With the national team Parodi reached the final of the European Championship . He then moved to league competitor Lube Macerata . There he won the Italian championship again in 2012. With Italy he won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in London .
