Simone Pinzani (born April 11, 1972 in Cividale del Friuli , Udine , Italy ) is an Italian Nordic combined skier .

Career

Pinzani, who started for the GS Forestale , made his international debut in the 1991/92 season in the Nordic Combined B World Cup . In his first season he achieved a total of one point and thus rank 51 in the overall standings. In the 1992/93 season he could win any points in the B World Cup, but still got a starting place in the team for the Nordic Ski World Championships in 1993 in the Swedish Falun . He started in the team competition with Andrea Cecon and Andrea Longo and ended up sixth. He did not compete in the individual. On March 5, 1993, Pinzani took part in his first and only World Cup in Lahti and reached a total of three points as 13th, placing him in 33rd place overall. At the Italian Championships in 1993 , Pinzani was third behind Paolo Bernardi and Andrea Cecon and thus won bronze.

In the 1993/94 season, Pinzani moved back to the B World Cup. Although he was again without success, he reached in 1994 with the Italian men's national team at the Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer the 11th place in the team competition before he was 49th in the individual. At the Italian Championships in 1997 , after two bronze medals in 1995 and 1996 , he won the silver medal behind Andrea Longo.

He played his last international season in the B World Cup in 1998/99. He achieved the best result of his career with 40th place overall. Shortly afterwards he won bronze again at the Italian Championships in 1999 .

At the Italian Nordic Combined Championships in 2004 , Pinzani took fifth place.
